For the 80th Golden Globe Awards in 2022, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) will choose the best in American TV and movies. It is taking place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on January 11, 2023 (India), and it will be broadcast live in India on Lionsgate Play. The ceremony will be hosted by Jerrod Carmichael.
The Banshees of Inisherin got eight nominations, which is the most for a movie since Cold Mountain in 2004. These nominations include Best Musical or Comedy Motion Picture and Best Director.
RRR, which is directed by SS Rajamouli, is in the running for two awards: best non-English feature film and best original song for Naatu Naatu. RRR, which stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan as real-life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian movie to be nominated for the Golden Globe Award.
