Actor-comedian and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu's brother Premgi Amaren tied the knot on Saturday in the presence of his close friends and family members. The director took to Instagram to post photos of his newly married brother and his wife Indu while wishing them a happy married life.

Chennai 600028 marked Premgi one of his earliest prominent roles. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the sports comedy drama also starred Jai, Shiva, Aravind Akash, Nithin Sathya, and others. The film revolves around street cricket and the rivalry between two local teams. The film revolves around three boys from a village going off to Goa in search of new lives for themselves. Premgi plays the role of Samikannu, a god-fearing man who falls in love with a foreigner.
