Sathiya Sothanai release date: When and where to watch this Premgi Amaren comic caper

Sony LIV's latest original film Sathya Sothanai is all set to drop on OTT. The film, which stars Premgi Amaren in the lead, is written and directed by Suresh Sangaiah, who had earlier helmed the critically-acclaimed Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu. Sathiya, Sothanai, which has been lying in the cans for a while now, is finally gearing up for release on Sony LIV.

What's Sathiya Sothanai about?

The film is said to be a hilarious misadventure of an honest man Pradeep (Premgi Amaren) who, while returning gold ornaments from a murdered corpse, becomes a victim of false accusations.

While he returns two chains found on the corpse, the police catch him for a 'missing' third chain. But when Pradeep reveals that an old woman was present at the location, the investigation takes a shift. So, what's the mystery of the missing chain? A side-splitting investigation ensues where everyone becomes a suspect.

Sony LIV's description reads, "The bureaucratic satire focuses on Pradeep who lands in trouble after he decides to hand over the belongings of a dead body stabbed to death in the middle of nowhere to the police. A lift to an old woman, a group surrendering as the murderer and the police discovering that the victim wore additional ornaments that were gifts from Pradeep lead to hilarity and chaos."

Star cast and crew
The ensemble star cast of the film includes Premgi Amaran, Swayam Siddha ,Reshma Pasupuleti, K.G.Mohan, Selva Murugan, Lakshmi and Haritha. While the music for the film is by Ragu Raam, background score is by Dheepan Chakravarthy and the songs are sung by Gangai Amaran, Veeramani Raju and Diwakar. Lyrics for the numbers have been penned by Velmurugan.

Cinematography for the film is by Saran RV, editing is by Venkat Raajen, art direction is handled by Vasudevan and the dialogues are penned by V Gurunathan and Suresh Sangaiah himself. The film is produced by Sameer Bharath Ram.
