A Yakshini named Maya is cursed by Kubera for falling in love with an evil human. She is asked to sacrifice 100 Brahmacharis if she wants to break the curse and return to Alkapuri. However, her 100th prey, Krishna, falls in love with her.
Yakshini has a fascinating plot, but the series falters badly when it comes to the writing, making, and execution. The show loses its grip when it tries to merge two genres.
The biggest drawback of Yakshini is its undercooked and boring family drama and the forced humour, featuring male lead Krishna's crazy family.
Vedhika looks gorgeous as the youngest member of the Yakshini clan. She pulls off her character with ease and excels in performance. However, the inconsistent role doesn't offer much for the actress.
Rahul Vijay shines at moments but clearly struggles when he has to do the heavy lifting. The actor's character arc is so underwhelming and forced.
Ajay plays a template villain, while Lakshmi Manchu and others are soon forgotten in their badly written roles.
Cinematographer Jagadeesh Cheekati. and the VFX and production design teams have done their parts well. Jagadeesh Cheekati’s songs are forgettable, while background music fails to uplift the flat narrative.
This fantasy web series is a complete yawn fest that fails to create any impact, and tests the patience of audience to no end.
