Graffiti Bridge (Prince)

In 1990, Prince created the rock musical drama Graffiti  Bridge, which he wrote, directed and had the lead role in. He released  an album with the same name to accompany the film.

Filth and Wisdom (Madonna)

In 2008, Madonna made her directorial debut with the British comedy-drama movie Filth and Wisdom. She was also the executive producer and screenwriter for the film.

Renaldo and Clara (Bob Dylan)

Renaldo and Clara, released in 1978, was a passion  project of Bob Dylan, who directed, wrote, and starred in it. The movie  clocks in at almost four hours in length.

The Proposition (Nick Cave)

John Hillcoat directed the 2005 Australian western The  Proposition, with a script by Nick Cave. It starred Guy Pearce, Emily  Watson, and John Hurt among other big names.

200 Motels (Frank Zappa)

The Devil’s Rejects (Rob Zombie)

In 2003, Rob Zombie made his introduction as both  director and screenwriter with House of 1000 Corpses, a horror film that  has become a cult classic. His follow-up, The Devil's Rejects from  2005, is generally considered to be an improvement over his debut.
