Uri: The Surgical Strike
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the 2016 surgical strikes. The National Award-winning movie was released in 2019, starring Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam.
Mangal Pandey: The Rising
Directed by Ketan Mehta and starring Aamir Khan, the 2005 film traces the life of Mangal Pandey, a brave soldier serving in the British army who revolted against them during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Chak De! India
The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer was released in 2007. One of his most acclaimed movies, Chak De! India was directed by Shimit Amit. It also featured actors Vidya Malvade, Chitrashi Rawat and Sagarika Ghatge, among others.
Shershaah
Directed by Vishnuvaradhan, Shershaah is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the service of the nation. Released in 2021, the film starred Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.
