After receiving Padma Shri (in 1988) and Padma Bhushan (in 2002), tabla maestro Zakir Hussain will now be awarded Padma Vibhushan for his exceptional service in the field of arts.

Raveena Tandon

The only actor to be awarded Padma Shri in 2023, Raveena Tandon says “I owe this to my father, Ravi Tandon”.

Vani Jairam

National Award-winning legendary playback singer Vani Jairam, who recently completed 50 years in the world of music, will be honoured with Padma Bhushan.

An eminent naga musician, Moa Subong has developed a unique bamboo instrument, called 'BamHum'. He will be honoured with Padma Shri.

Rani Machaiah

To be honoured with Padma Shri for her efforts to preserve the Kodava culture in Karnataka, Rani Machaiah is popularly known as ‘Ummathat ki Rani’.

Domar Singh Kunvar

Domar Singh Kunvar is a Chhattisgarhi natya nacha artist, who has dedicated his life to preserving the traditional art form. He will be awarded Padma Shri.

Risingbor Kurkalang

Risingbor Kurkalang is a tribal musical instrument maker from Meghalaya. Recognised for promoting Khasi folk music, he will be honoured with Padma Shri.

Ghulam Mohammad Zaz

Often referred to as ‘Kashmir’s last santoor maker’, Ghulam Mohammad Zaz will be awarded Padma Shri in recognition of his expertise in hand-crafting musical instruments.

Mangala Kanti Roy

A sarinda player from West Bengal, Mangala Kanti Roy has been promoting the instrument for several years. He will be honoured with Padma Shri.
