Who is Junaid Khan?

Junaid Khan is Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta's eldest son. Born in 1993, he is making his Bollywood debut with Maharaj.

What is Maharaj about?

It is a biography of journalist Karsandas Mulji. Set in colonial India, it centres on his fight for justice in the 1861 Maharaj Libel Case, a scandal that exposed corruption.

What’s Maharaj Libel Case?

In 1861, Karsandas Mulji accused religious leaders of the Pushtimarg Vaishnava sect of sexual abuse of female devotees. He exposed them and gave proof through several articles.

Case judgment

Mulji won the lawsuit in 1862. Chief Justice Sir Matthew Richard gave him the rights to expose the wrongdoings. His victory cemented his legacy in journalism.
