A Central Industrial Security Force constable slapped actor and recently elected MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport for allegedly "disrespecting farmers."
The incident occurred on June 6, 2024, as Ranaut, who won the Lok Sabha election from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, was ready to board a flight to Delhi.
Kulwinder Kaur is the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable who is accused of slapping the newly elected MP.
A first information report (FIR) has been filed against her, and she has been placed on suspension.
Kangana Ranaut released a video message in which she said, “I am safe. I am perfectly fine. But my concern is terrorism is rising in Punjab. How do we handle that?”
Actress Raveena Tandon and social media influencer Uorfi Javed have come out in support of Kangana Ranaut.
The national award-winning actress in December 2020 shared a comment on X. It said that elderly woman was "available for ₹ 100", suggesting she can be hired to attend protests. She later deleted the post.
On March 24, Kangana joined BJP. On June 4, she got elected as an MP from Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh.
