Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is scheduled to release on Disney+ Hotstar on June 27. The streaming platform officially confirmed the OTT release date.
According to current Malayalam industry trends, the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer is expected to stream on the popular OTT platform around the first or second week of July.
Given the hype around the movie and its box office success, it is likely that the popular streaming platform also paid a hefty sum for the digital rights to the movie, which release in theatres on May 16.
The film is directed by Vipin Das and features Basil Joseph and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the key roles. Anaswara Rajan and Nikhila Vimal portray the leading ladies in this fun entertainer.
Critics as well as film enthusiasts gave the movie positive reviews after seeing it in theatres, praising both the hilarious aspects and the main actors' performances.
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph's humorous performances were the highlight of Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. Numerous people have noted that their "bromance" in the film enhances its humorous elements.
It also made a remarkable haul at the box office within weeks of its release, surpassing the Rs 50 crore mark in just the first week. Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is still running in some of the theatres in the state.
Other May films, Tovino Thomas' Nadikar, Nivin Pauly's Malayalee From India and Mammootty's Turbo will be accessible for viewing on Netflix and SonyLIV, respectively in the coming days.
