The upcoming documentary, Federer: Twelve Final Days, chronicles the final days of tennis legend Roger Federer’s professional career.
Roger Federer competed in his last professional match in the Laver Cup in London on September 23, 2022. He teamed up with friend and longtime rival Rafael Nadal in the doubles match.
Federer and Nadal played against Americans Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. Even though Federer and Nadal gave it their all, they fell short 4-6, 7-6 (2), 11-9.
Asif Kapadia and Joe Sabia. Notably, Kapadia was born to an Indian-Muslim British family. He is also a recipient of several awards, including BAFTA and Oscar.
The documentary is set to be released on June 20, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video. Federer is now busy with the promotions of his documentary.
Often regarded as the legend of tennis, Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles, including a record eight Wimbledon titles.
Besides Federer, tennis icons Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will also feature in the documentary.
It was in 2022 that Roger Federer announced his retirement from professional tennis at the age of 41.
