Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term on the evening of June 9 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Numerous celebrities were in attendance.
Anil Kapoor, who landed in the national capital this afternoon, attended the glorious event. Notably, June 9 also marks his daughter Sonam Kapoor’s 39th birthday.
The famous South superstar, Rajinikanth, also graced the prestigious event. Rajinikanth, who landed in Delhi this afternoon, congratulated Modi for becoming the Prime Minister for the third time.
Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who is known for her films Queen and Tanu Weds Manu, also graced the event. The Padma Shri recipient is a Lok Sabha MP from Mandi.
Popular Bollywood actor Anupam Kher also attended the historic event. In a statement, he said, “I hope the new government under the PM's leadership will take the country ahead.”
Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, who won the recent Lok Sabha election in Thrissur, also attended Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony this evening.
Actor-turned-politician Chirag Paswan, who worked in several films including the 2011 Miley Naa Miley Hum with Kangana Ranaut, too graced the occasion.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also attended Modi's oath-taking ceremony, along with his manager Pooja Dadlani.
