Vhagar is the oldest and biggest of them all, being the last of Aegon's Conquest dragons. Initially ridden by Laena in Season 1, Vhagar was then claimed by Aemond after her death, who is the current rider.
You have to remember this because House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 3 has Aegon mention Sunfyre numerous times. He even talked about the dragon while discussing his trip to Harrenhall with Criston Cole.
Dreamfyre is a pale blue dragon that looks magnificent. The dragon is old and not very active in the war, but is ridden by Helaena Targaryen.
Who would not know Syrax, one of the most active dragons of them all? While Syrax has not been taken to war yet, Rhaenyra is said to be its first and only rider.
Caraxes has been seen the most in House of the Dragon, and people have been fascinated by its appearance. The red beauty is ridden by Daemon, who has, of course, taken it to many places.
One of the older dragons, Meleys, still has charm with her pink wings and red scales. The season opening had the dragon fly with Rhaenys, creating a beautiful scene. Meleys is said to be one of the most important war dragons due to her swiftness back in the day.
Vermax belongs to Jacaerys, as it was hatched from the egg given to him at birth. The dragon is yet to see the world because it is comparatively the youngest at the moment.
We miss you, Arrax! Yes, this is the dragon Vhagar ended up killing with Lucerys on its back. Similar to Vermax, Arrax was also hatched from an egg and was small compared to others. And tiny compared to Vhagar, we all saw it, didn't we?
Seasmoke is currently riderless as Laenor Velaryon abandoned the dragon when he escaped to Essos. In the third episode of Season 2, we saw the dragon for the first time, angry and flying recklessly in the skies over Dragonstone.
