There are several movies rejected by Ajith Kumar which later became a hit at the box office.
As per reports, Love Today was rejected by Ajith Kumar. The 1997 film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana. The film follows a youngster who must swap his phone with his girlfriend for 24 hours before their marriage
Ajith had to reject it due to call sheet issues. The film later cast Prasanth and also Aishwarya Rai. The film shows how Madhumita and Vishwanathan fall in love with each other but his father disapproves of the relationship
Reports suggest that director N. Lingusamy approached Ajith with the script but the actor was not sure of the action sequence so he rejected the film. After this, the filmmaker brought in R. Madhavan.
Ajith felt that the character would not suit him so refused the offer. After this, Vikram replaced him and the film became the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2002.
Ghajini starring Suriya is another film that was rejected by Ajith. He decided to walk out of the film after the initial photo shoot. Later, the film did extremely well at the box office.
Director Vasanth had first pitched the film's plot to Ajith but the actor rejected it 18 days after the production began as a result of date problems. The film was made with Vijay and Suriya later.
Director Gautham Vasudev Menon first approached Madhavan, Vikram, and Ajith to act in the film but three of them rejected it. Later, Suriya ended up doing it.
