Gulshan was praised for his role in Badhaai Do. The actor played Guru Narayan, Rajkummar Rao's love interest, in the film. The movie also starred Bhumi Pednekar.
The actor portrayed Bhavani, the antagonist’s devoted and reliable aide. The film is set in a village with strong family rivalries and forbidden love.
