Bollywood has been remaking South Indian films for several years now, and some of them even garnered immense appreciation and box office success. Here are some of the films:

Drishyam

This Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer is the Hindi remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam film of the same name, which became an instant hit in 2015 that led to a second instalment, Drishyam 2 in 2022.

Ghajini

The Aamir Khan-starrer Hindi film is the remake of Suriya's Tamil film of the same name, which was released in 2005. In the Hindi version, actress Asin reprised her role of Kalpana. The film was an instant hit.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Akshay Kumar stars in the Hindi remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, that was released in 1993. The Hindi remake's huge popularity and box office collection led to a sequel.

Vikram Vedha

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, this film is the Hindi remake of R Madhavan-Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil film of the same name. Despite being a remake, the Hindi version also garnered critical acclaim.

Kabir Singh

This Shahid Kapoor-starrer is the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda's 2017 Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Both the Telugu and Hindi versions are directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Kabir Singh achieved huge box-office success.

This Salman Khan-starrer is the Hindi remake of Mahesh Babu's popular Telugu film Pokiri, which was released in 2006.

This Shahid Kapoor-starrer is the Hindi remake of Nani-starrer Telugu film of the same name. This film also garnered much appreciation.
