Rishi Kapoor was initially the first choice of Yash Chopra’s psychological thriller, but he turned down the offer due to its dark character. It later became an iconic role for Shah Rukh Khan.
Rishi Kapoor was offered the role of Ravi in Yash Chopra’s action-drama film that also featured the stellar writer duo of Salim-Javed. Later, the role was essayed by Sachin Pilgaonkar.
According to reports, Rakesh Roshan first approached Rishi Kapoor to portray Hrithik Roshan’s onscreen father. However, he rejected the role and Roshan himself played it.
