According to BookMyShow’s annual 2024 report, these 10 titles performed well even during their second theatrical run. Take a look at the South and Hindi re-releases: 

Tumbbad  

This folk horror film surprised everyone with its gross collection of Rs 30.50 crore in 4 weeks that surpassed its original collection and was among the top grossers in the re-release category.  

Laila Majnu  

Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary's romantic drama film was a major success in its re-release. It grossed Rs 10.50 crore in 6 weeks.  

Rockstar  

Imtiaz Ali’s critically acclaimed musical romance film earned 3X in its 5th week than the original run. It grossed approximately Rs 7.50 crore.  

Murari  

Featuring Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre, this Telugu film re-released on the superstar’s 49th birthday and grossed Rs 8 crore.   

Kal Ho Naa Ho  

Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta’s love triangle and poignant drama film minted Rs 3.70 crore in just 10 days of re-release.  

Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein   

This classic Bollywood romance film features the love triangle of R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan. It grossed Rs 1.20 crore in the opening weekend.  

Veer Zaara

Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta’s superhit romance film entered the Rs 100 crore gross club at the worldwide box office during its re-run.  

Ghilli  

Thalapathy Vijay's sports action-drama Tamil film performed exceptionally in its re-run and grossed Rs 30 crore at the worldwide box office.  

Devadoothan  

This musical mystery film re-released in theatres after 24 years and emerged as the all-time highest-grossing film in Malayalam in its re-run with Rs 3.25 crore.  

Gabbar Singh   

Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster actioner re-released on his birthday. It scored the biggest opening by grossing approximately Rs 6.25 crore.
