The World Test Championship (WTC) final between the top two Test teams in the world, Australia and India, is just days away. As the two heavyweights will look to renew their rivalry in the ICC tournament final at the Oval on June 7, Australian fast all-arounder Cameron Green lauded Indian batters, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

The 24-year-old Aussie had smashed his maiden Test hundred against India in Ahmedabad during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. He was picked by Mumbai Indians (MI) and went on to score 452 runs at a strike rate of 160.28 and took six wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

Ahead of the WTC Final, Green spoke to ICC and revealed that Rohit is very calm on the pitch. "The calmness he has out in the middle is so evident," Green said to the ICC. "He's obviously been there and done that for 10 years. To be out there with him and just talk through a situation was awesome".

However, when asked about who will be the biggest threat to Australia, the all-rounder picked Virat Kohli. The star Indian batter had smashed 82 against Mumbai in Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) opening match. The Australian stated that Kohli is a man for the big moments and is looking forward to facing him.

"Virat Kohli. I think he always tries to be the man to stand up in big moments," Green said. "A World Test Championship is obviously a massive moment, so I look forward to that."

In the Ahmedabad Test in March, Kohli scored 186 off 364—his best total against Australia—to end his century drought. With 1979 runs in 24 Test matches at an excellent average of 48.26 thanks to eight hundreds and five fifty-plus scores, he has a stellar record against the formidable Australian team.
