WPL Auction 2024: Meet Vrinda Dinesh who rose from 10 Lakhs to 1.3 Crore to join UP Warriorz

In a dream-come-true moment, uncapped Indian cricketer Vrinda Dinesh, initially valued at 10 lakhs, secured an impressive 1.3 crore deal with UP Warriorz during the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 Auction.

The right-handed batter from Karnataka found herself in a competitive bidding war involving her state team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and ultimately UP Warriorz, who went on to secure her services.

Vrinda recently showcased her skills while representing India A in a closely contested series against England A, gaining recognition for her aggressive batting style.

Although initially not part of the ACC Emerging Teams Cup, she entered the competition in the finals, making an impact with 36 off 29 balls on a challenging surface.

Her contributions were pivotal in Karnataka's triumph in the Senior Women's ODI Trophy final earlier this year, accumulating 477 runs at an impressive average of 47.70 in 11 innings, including a crucial knock of 81 against Rajasthan.
