In just the second edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) women have not only reached the Final by defeating the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) but have also displayed a terrific bowling performance, getting the table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC) all-out for 113 runs.

While the chase is underway and RCB lost the wicket of Sophie Devine for 32 runs, fans on the internet already believe that the trophy should be handed to RCB. Especially on X (formerly known as Twitter), fans started trending "Finally RCB" as the desire for an IPL trophy looks well within their reach.

As for the clash, after 12 overs, RCB has scored 61 runs and lost opener Sophie Devine for LBW. She did go for a review, but ball tracking showed three red dots, and she had to depart for 32 off 27, having hit 5 fours and 1 maximum.

Earlier in the match, DC, who won the toss and opted to bat, got off to a flying start, courtesy of Shafali Verma's aggressive batting. However, following the strategic timeout, the momentum shifted in RCB's favour as Sophie Molineux claimed three wickets - Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Alice Capsey in one over.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi then witnessed a dramatic batting collapse as DC went from 61 for 0 at the end of the batting Powerplay to 113 all-out in 18.3 overs. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4 wickets, while Asha Sobhana picked up two.

At the toss, DC opted for the same squad after winning the toss and opting to bat first in the Final encounter, while RCB made one change, bringing in Sabbhineni Meghana in place of Shraddha Poklharkar.
