Fans of Sourav Ganguly may not get to see his elegant cover drives or lofted sixes any more but the latest video now gone viral on social media will surely win them over once again. The former Indian captain recently sent out warm wishes to his colleagues from Pakistan in a special video snippet and has received a lot of praise for his graceful comments about Pakistan cricket and the camaraderie he shares with its ex-players.

From fondly recalling the iconic 2004 tour, in which he led India to a momentous win, to poking fun at Moin Khan and Wasim Akram, Sourav Ganguly was his candid best in the said video. Bearing a pleasant smile throughout, the 'God of the Offside' exuded a gentlemanly charm which impressed not only those on social media but also Wasim Akram and co.

Sourav Ganguly was speaking to Pakistan's TV channel 'A Sports', which is widely popular in the cricketing community for its astute game analysis through the World Cup 2023. Wasim Akram and Moin Khan part of the expert panel along with Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq.

The former president of the BCCI would also throw a bright light on the cricket structure in India to emphasize just how robust and impactful it is with regard to a player's career. Sourav Ganguly had no problem in admitting that money has been an issue for the board but beyond that, it's the clear-sighted system in place that has played a huge role in the shaping of Indian cricket over the years. From the significance awarded to the 4 or 5-day format of the sport to the amount of cricket that's played around the year, the Prince of Kolkata offered a lot of perspective into what's working immensely for Indian cricket.

He would also encourage Pakistan Cricket saying that a nation which boasts talent such as Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and others, needs only minor tweaks to find success in the long run.

Wasim Akram, who has worked with the left-hander closely during his Kolkata Knight Riders stint (IPL), said in response that Sourav Ganguly is a very "sensible, clever and bright man" who also has a bright cricketing mind.
