Watch: LSG skipper mimics MS Dhoni during IPL 2025 practice session

The most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rishabh Pant has started his preparations for the upcoming season. The player bagged a massive bid of INR 27 crores from Lucknow Super Giants during the mega auctions. Post the completion of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the star wicketkeeper batter joined the LSG camp. During a practice session, Rishabh was seen trying the iconic helicopter shot of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rishabh Pant is confident enough to deliver for LSG

Indian wicketkeeper and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant has picked himself when asked about the three players to watch out for from his team. During the all-captains meet on March 20, all the skippers were asked about three players to watch out for from their respective teams. Rishabh Pant, among all, gave a cheeky reply by including himself alongside Mitchell Marsh and David Miller.

Here's what the LSG skipper said: "I think it will be Mitchell Marsh; second will be David Miller, and third will be me." The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will begin their IPL 2025 campaign against Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 24 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam.

Fans can expect a crackerjack of a contest between LSG and DC, as both teams will look to dominate each other and open their account with a win. Delhi Capitals would be led by the newly appointed skipper, Axar Patel, in the upcoming IPL season. 

The 18th IPL season is about to kick off with a grand opening ceremony followed by a clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) today at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
