Pakistani batter Babar Azam, who often gets compared with the likes of Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, has faced yet another embarrassing moment. During a practice session, the batter got LBW out to a net bowler, which ignited discussion among the fans questioning his batting technique.
A fan on X shared a video of his dismissal where Babar can be seen getting trapped in front of the wicket. The net bowler straightaway appealed for a leg before and got the decision right in his favour. Watch the video of the dismissal here:
Babar Azam has been out of form for more than two years and has failed miserably for not being able to play an impactful innings. The player has also been heavily criticised for consuming more balls and scoring less. In the group stage clash against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the player kept playing dots that increased the required run rate while chasing 320 runs. Babar scored 61 off 90 balls, which resulted in a defeat by 60 runs.
Following his poor batting form, Babar Azam was dropped from the T20I series against New Zealand alongside Mohammed Rizwan. However, both players are set to make a comeback for the ODI series, which will begin on March 29 in Napier.
The question of whether Babar will regain his form is still a matter of concern for Pakistani fans out there. The fans would be hoping for Babar to get back in the groove and revive the Pakistani cricket to an extent. But considering how he got out, the net bowler would continue to remain in the fans' heads for a long time.
