In a surprising turn of events, Team India faced an unexpected defeat at the hands of the West Indies - an opponent that didn't qualify for this year's Men's ODI World Cup. During the second ODI match, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested, making way for the backup options to test their mettle ahead of the World Cup.

However, the experiments, they have been doing since the 1st ODI have not been going in favour of the Men in Blue. In the first ODI, both senior batters had changed their batting positions in the lineup and it was only when Rohit stepped in at No.7 that India managed to win the game.
Talking about the 2nd ODI, with Rohit and Kohli both sitting in the dugout, a lighthearted incident caught the attention of the cameras.
Kohli, Rohit, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Jaydev Unadkat were seen sitting together and suddenly someone was seen playfully hitting the spinner.
It turned out to be none other than India's captain Rohit who was playfully hitting Chahl while Kohli was trying to have a conversation with the mischievous prankster.
The light-hearted moment brought smiles and laughter to Kohli, Unadkat, and others witnessing the playful exchange. Describing the scene, the commentator said: "Someone is bullying Yuzvendra Chahal I believe and the culprit has been revealed - it's Rohit Sharma".
As for the ODI series, the game is tied at 1-1 and it will be to be seen whether Kohli and Rohit will be back for the third and final game.
India head coach Rahul Dravid hinted that team will continue experimenting in the final match as well as the eye is on the bigger picture than on the present series.
"I think we will always look at the bigger picture. To be very honest with you, at this stage in the cycle with the Asia Cup and World Cup coming up, and the injuries we have, we have to look at the big picture. We have to look at things like that. We can't get worried about every single game and every single series. If we do that, I think that will be a mistake," he had said.
