Virat Kohli's fame transcends borders, captivating admirers from all corners of the world, even in countries where cricket is not a widely followed sport. Recently, a heartwarming encounter between the Indian cricket legend and West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva's mother has captured the attention of many.

In a historic moment, Kohli marked his 500th international appearance for India with a remarkable century, scoring an impressive 121 runs that contributed significantly to the team's massive first-innings total.

During one of the stump mic interactions caught on camera, Joshua Da Silva shared a touching moment with Kohli. He revealed that his mother is a devoted fan of the Indian cricket star and had made her way to the venue specifically to witness Kohli in action. This revelation struck a chord with fans, adding to the admiration and respect Kohli commands not only on the field but also in the hearts of his supporters worldwide.

"My mom called me and told me she's coming to watch the match for Virat Kohli, I couldn't believe it," Joshua had said on Day 1.

Present at the stadium, Joshua's mother got to witness Kohli end his long overseas century drought as the former India skipper ramped up a career 29th century in Test games. 

Later on Day 2, Joshua's mother met Kohli near the Team India bus and hugged him before she broke down in tears as the Windies cricketer clicked pictures of the emotional moment.

"Kohli is one of the best batsmen in our lifetime. So it is an honour for me to meet him and my son to be on the same field as him," she said in the video shared by journalist Vimal Kumar.

At the end of Day 2, West Indies displayed a strong performance with their batter posting 86 runs on the board. 

Captain Kraigg Brathwaite, with an unbeaten score of 37, and Kirk McKenzie, batting on 14, will be determined to guide the team towards a draw after facing an innings defeat in the previous match in Dominica.

They lost the wicket of Tagenarine Chanderpaul for 33. Ravindra Jadeja took his wicket which was caught by R Ashwin as the short third man.
