Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan may have drawn notice for his noteworthy on-field accomplishments, but the cricketing world views him with scepticism due to his conduct off the field as well. He has a history of arguing with umpires over unfair decisions, which has drawn criticism. Now adding to this, Shakib found himself embroiled in yet another controversy. 

The incident occurred during a promotional event in Chattogram, where a large crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the all-rounder and the video of his anger has since gone viral.

Apparently, Shakib lost his temper and lashed out at a fan and then went on to repeatedly hit him with a cap. The incident was captured on camera and was quickly spread across social media platforms.

The video has sparked outrage among fans and critics alike. However, there are some defending his actions saying, it was the fan's fault for trying to snatch Shakib's cap.

Adding to his woes, Shakib and Tamim Iqbal, two of the team's senior players have been said to have had a fallout, according to Nazmul Hassan, president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), who acknowledged it last month.

Shakib had last played for Bangladesh in the first T20I of the three-match series against England. The team emerged victorious, defeating the visitors by six wickets at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
