The final Grand Slam Major of the year, the US Open is currently underway and as day 4 of the tournament begins, 32 of the 64 who’d advanced to Round 2 have already had their day on court with 16, including defending champion Novak Djokovic, Casper Ruud, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Lorenzo Musetti, Tallon Griekspoor, Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, on to Round 3 and with opponents lined up.

The other 64, including World No.1 Jannik Sinner and 2024 French Open and Wimbledon champ Carlos Alcaraz will be on court on August 29, which, based on the time zone difference between the US and India means that the morning sessions will begin at 8.30 pm, and the evening sessions on the following morning.

Sinner will play Alex Michelsen at the Arthur Ashe Stadium at 9.30 pm, the first match in the men’s singles category on centre court. It should start on time, as the women’s singles match scheduled for the court is the encounter between No. 1 Iga Swiatek and Ena Shibahara at 11.30 pm.

Carlos Alcaraz’ second round match is currently slated for 5.45 am (August 30) at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, but this will depend on former US Open champion Naomi Osaka’s match against Karolina Muchova ending in under an hour and half. Their match is scheduled for 4.30 am at the same court. All matches can be streamed live on SonyLIV in India.
