In the second week of the last Grand Slam major of the year, the last 8 men standing in the tournament are all set to take court for a shot at glory. Daniil Medvedev is a former champion, while the rest of the contingent includes formidable players who’ve been at this stage of the Grand Slam and further. Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Grigor Dimitrov, Jannik Sinner, Jack Draper and Alex de Minaur are the other quarter-finalists this year.

The official broadcast partner of the US Open 2024 in India is Sony Sports, with live streaming available on SonyLIV. The quarter-final matches are being played at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, which has a retractable roof and lights, so there will be no disruptions owing to bad weather.

Who’s playing who in the US Open 2024 men’s singles quarter-finals?

The first quarter-final match on September 3 has Alexander Zverev on Centre Court against Taylor Fritz. Zverev is the 2020 finalist, but has not made it past semi-final stage since then. Fritz first quarter-final was only a year ago, where he’d lost against eventual champion Novak Djokovic. Grigor Dimitrov vs Frances Tiafoe is the second quarter-final match, scheduled to start at 5.45 am on September 4. Dimitrov is a 2019 semi-finalist, and lost to Daniil Medvedev then, while Tiafoe lost to 2022 US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz in the Round of 4.

The schedule for the other two quarter-final matches are yet to be determined, but first up will be World No.1 Jannik Sinner against 2021 US Open winner Medvedev, with the former’s best at the tournament being a Round of 8 match. Sinner had lost to Alcaraz in a hard-fought 5-set match in 2022. The other match is between Jack Draper and Alex de Minaur; Draper is a first-time quarter-finalist, while de Minaur made it to this stage in 2020. He’d lost to eventual champion Dominic Thiem.
