Following his impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku Singh has, at last, received his debut cap for India in the 1st T20I against Ireland. During the toss, Captain Jasprit Bumrah declared that both Rinku Singh and Prasidh Krishna would be making their first appearances for the National team.

Opting to bowl first, Bumrah expressed his delight at being back on the field, anticipating a competitive challenge from Ireland. He also spoke about the debutants, Rinku and Prasidh Krishna. "We'll bowl first, very happy to be here. The weather looks lovely. I feel good, looking forward to playing some cricket. You realise what you were missing, very happy to be back. We expect nothing short of a fight from Ireland. As a fast bowler, I hope the pitch does something. We have two debuts - Rinku and Prasidh Krishna. Told them to just enjoy their cricket", said Bumrah.

The announcement created a buzz on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting the performance of the fiery middle-order batter.

Rinku's standout contributions during the IPL, particularly for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), earned him acclaim. He became a household name after he smashed 5 sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans (GT), securing victory for his team.

Throughout the tournament, Rinku accumulated 474 runs, primarily batting at Number 6 for KKR, and showcased an impressive strike rate of 142.16.

Rinku continued his exceptional form in first-class cricket as well, representing Uttar Pradesh. With 3007 runs in 42 matches at an average of 57.8, he has demonstrated a phenomenal record.
