After bowling out Bangladesh for 204 runs in 45.1 overs, Pakistan made a strong start in Match 31 of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 in Kolkata. The stadium was filled with fans from both countries as well as enthusiastic locals who came to enjoy the cricket action. Supporters were thrilled by the batting display of Pakistani openers Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique, who were hitting boundaries and sixes with style.

However, what caught everyone's attention was that during the game, Indian fans could be heard shouting patriotic slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' at Eden Gardens. Some viewers who noticed this took to social media, particularly X, to share their thoughts.

In terms of the tournament, India currently holds a comfortable position at the top of the points table with six wins from six matches, totalling 12 points. However, Pakistan and Bangladesh are facing challenges.

Pakistan has had a tough journey with four consecutive losses after significant wins against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. While the road to the semi-finals seems challenging for Pakistan, there is still a slim chance they could secure a top-four spot.

Even if Pakistan secures a victory against Bangladesh, it will remain difficult for them to qualify for the semi-finals. Winning all their next matches would bring Pakistan's total points to 10, which may still not be sufficient for a top-four position.

Pakistan's fate will depend significantly on the performance of other teams in upcoming matches. Australia would need to drop to fifth place after losing their next three matches against Afghanistan, England, and Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka must lose two out of their next three matches, facing India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.

This scenario would leave Australia with eight points and Sri Lanka with just six points. If New Zealand falters and loses the next two matches, they will remain at 10 points. Nevertheless, while India has more or less secured their place in the semi-finals, the likelihood of Pakistan making it remains uncertain.
