During the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and Australia at Chepauk, the English fan was spotted wearing a blue Indian jersey with "Jarvo 69" emblazoned on it as he invaded the pitch. Viral photos on X (formerly Twitter) showed him being escorted away as he came close to Indian batter and star player Virat Kohli.
Who is Jarvo 69?
Known as Daniel Jarvis on X, he identifies as a comedian, filmmaker, and prankster, as indicated in his bio. He also operates a YouTube channel under the name "bmwjarvo."
His previous pitch invasions garnered him a significant following on social media. At the time of writing, Jarvis boasts over 8,000 followers on his Twitter account (precisely 8,040), and this number is likely to increase in the days to come.
Jarvo has a history of pitch invasions, including an incident where he set up a tent on the cricket field during an ongoing match. He would jump the barricades and swiftly erect a tent while play was in progress, prompting security personnel to intervene and escort him out of the stadium.
