After years of marriage and also a few months of divorce speculations, it was confirmed that the couple Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had split. The announcement came after the Pakistani cricketer brought social media to a standstill by sharing photos of his third marriage with actor Sana Javed on Friday, January 19.

Despite ongoing rumours about Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik's divorce circulating on social media for several months, the couple had not issued any official statements. However, a day after Shoaib posted images of his third wedding, Sania's family officially confirmed her separation from Shoaib, revealing that they had been legally apart for 'some months.'
This revelation deeply affected Indian fans, as the renowned Indian tennis player faced significant backlash from people in both countries while enduring it for the cricketer. However, now, the narrative seems to have shifted.

Many fans in India were stunned by the news, and reactions in Pakistan were, for a change on the same page. Some Pakistanis have even expressed that their mutual dislike for the cricketer could bring together the two countries, which are often at loggerheads. Some even highlighted the scandals involving the Pakistani actress Sana, suggesting that the two deserve each other.
Regarding the divorce news, Anam, Sania's sister, shared her thoughts on her personal Instagram account. Anam, who is married to Assaduddin, the son of former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, expressed her sentiments on the matter, "Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!"
The couple tied the knot in 2010 and have been residing in Dubai ever since. They had shared the arrival of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018.
On the other hand, Sana achieved widespread recognition in Pakistan, making her television debut in 2012 with 'Shehr-e-Zaat' and subsequently appearing in various other shows. In October 2020, Sana got married to singer Umair Jaswal in a private ceremony in Karachi.
Unfortunately, the two were said to have encountered challenges that led to their separation. Subsequently, they began living apart and took steps to erase all traces of each other from their respective Instagram accounts.
