Kohli, Kohli! This was the resounding chant as Virat Kohli strode to the crease at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for India's final league game in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 against the Netherlands.

Teja Nidamanuru took a spectacular overhead catch to dismiss Shubman Gill, but as the 'Prince' left the field, it was the arrival of the King, stepping onto a pitch that holds a special place for him as the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Chinnaswamy Stadium echoed with cheers as Kohli took the field, and fans flooded social media with discussions about the former India skipper potentially achieving his 50th ODI century on this day (November 12).

In the clash, India won the toss and chose to bat. After 14 overs, India had already accumulated 109 runs for the loss of one wicket.

Gill and captain Rohit Sharma set a solid foundation, with the young batter contributing 51 before his departure. The captain, also having reached his half-century, would aim to build a strong partnership with Kohli.

In the ODI World Cup, India has remained unbeaten, having won all 8 games and occupied the top spot on the points table. As for the Dutch side, they won only two game and would be looking end the tournament on a high.
