Well, it was a nail-biter for all the cricket fans out there, as Delhi Capitals (DC) won by just one wicket in a thrilling contest against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The match started with Axar Patel-led DC deciding to bowl on a flat surface that offered no assistance to the bowlers. LSG's top order were off to a flyer during the powerplay despite losing Aiden Markram (15) early.

Mitchell Marsh (72) and Nicholas Pooran (75) made life miserable for the DC bowlers with their power hitting. Although DC did pull things back in the death overs and restricted LSG at 209/8. Kuldeep Yadav bowled an excellent spell, giving only 2-20 in his four overs.

In reply, Delhi Capitals lost three early wickets in the form of McGurk (1), Abishek Porel (0), and Sameer Rizvi (4), which made things tougher for them. At one stage, DC was 65/5, and it looked almost impossible for them to bounce back. However, the partnership of 48 runs between Stubbs and Ashutosh helped DC believe.

Post Stubbs' dismissal, Vipraj Nigam played a quick-fire knock of 39 runs from 15 balls before falling to Digvesh in the 17th over. In the end, it was down to one man, Ashutosh Sharma, who kept holding one end for his team. Ashutosh's fearless batting helped DC get over the line with just one wicket remaining. The player was awarded Player of the Match for his gutsy innings of 66 from 31 balls.
