England and Rajasthan Royals premier fast bowler Jofra Archer has received a massive thrashing from Sunrisers Hyderabad batters in the ongoing clash. The player has been taken to the cleaners despite trying all sorts of variations. Archer conceded 76 runs in his quota of four overs, which is the most expensive bowling spell in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With this spell, Archer went past Mohit Sharma, who conceded 73 runs in the previous IPL season.

The England pacer is known for his sheer pace and bounce, but today, the player didn't look at his best, resulting in getting hammered all around the park in Hyderabad.

SRH batters were off to a flyer right from the go as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came out all guns blazing. Abhishek was sent back after a quick 24 off 11 by Maheesh Theekshana. Post that, Head and Ishan Kishan smacked the RR bowlers on every part of the ground. Jofra Archer looked off rhythm and tried almost every variation. The bowler got smashed for 8 fours and 6 sixes, out of which three came in a single over from the centurion Ishan Kishan.

Apart from Archer, almost every Rajasthan Royals bowler received the similar sort of treatment from SRH batters. As a result, SRH has set a mammoth target of 287 runs for the Royals. Here's the list of the most expensive spells in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL):

  • 0/76 – Jofra Archer (RR) vs SRH, Hyderabad, 2025
  • 0/73 – Mohit Sharma (GT) vs DC, Delhi, 2024
