The IPL 2025 is just a day away from its inception, and all the teams have started to prepare for the grand tournament. The biggest franchise league will begin with an opening match between KKR and RCB on March 22. The next day, Sunday, will witness two giant teams colliding against each other in the form of CSK and MI. Ahead of the high-octane clash, CSK skipper Rituraj Gaikwad has praised the senior-most player in the IPL, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, stating that his fitness is inspiring and watching him bat is a great spectacle.

Dhoni, who is currently 43, is known for his power-hitting capabilities, running between the wickets, and quick-reaction wicketkeeping. His fitness at this age is admired by youngsters who follow the game of cricket. With 190 dismissals in 264 matches, the player is set to achieve the 200 mark and become the first wicketkeeper to do so.

CSK eyes a sixth IPL title

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been one of the most consistent teams in the history of IPL. Their consistency has also made them one of the successful teams in the league. The team has won five IPL titles under the leadership of MS Dhoni. It was 2023 when CSK won its last IPL trophy, and now in 2025, the team would be looking forward to grabbing its sixth title.

During the mega auctions, CSK strengthened its squad by adding key international players, including Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Noor Ahmad, and Sam Curran. The franchise has also added Ravichandran Ashwin to ensure depth in the spin attack. Ashwin would be accompanied by Ravindra Jadeja and Ahmad in the IPL 2025.

CSK will begin its IPL 2025 campaign against its arch-rival Mumbai Indians on Sunday, March 23, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both the teams are known to offer great cricketing action to the fans out there.
