In 2023, the Royal Challengers Bangalore finished 6th on the points table, winning 7 games and losing as many out of the 14 league matches played. The team will be high on spirit this year, especially after their women's team won the Women's Premier League (WPL) just days ago.
Just before the start of the new season of IPL, RCB changed their logo, and their name to 'Royal Challengers Bengaluru' and added blue to their jersey instead of black.
RCB's IPL 2024 team composition:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been three-time runners-up and are on the hunt to finally lift the trophy. Under Faf du Plessis, RCB has a decent squad on offer, but there are still several gaps. The side heavily depends on their top order - Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and their main pacer Mohammed Siraj.

At the mini-auction, they went for foreign players - Alzarri Joseph, Reece Topley, Lockie Ferguson, and Tom Curran, and one Indian pacer in the form of Yash Dayal. The team also roped in Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians (MI) during the trade window. RCB will be expecting their Indian players to chip in and play quality cricket.
