MI from 2023 to 2024:

In 2023, the Mumbai Indians managed to secure the last spot in the playoffs, finishing 4th. The team won 8 games and lost 6 out of the 14 matches played.

For the new season, the team underwent several changes, including a shift in captaincy from Rohit Sharma to Hardik Pandya. The team will be supported by head coach Mark Boucher, batting coach Kieron Pollard, and bowling coach Lasith Malinga.

MI's IPL 2024 team composition:

At the mini-auction last year, the team acquired South Africa's fast-bowling talent, Gerald Coetzee, and Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka. They also secured the versatile Mohammad Nabi from Afghanistan and signed Shreyas Gopal at his base price.

The team, however, will be pleased to have Jasprit Bumrah back. The pacer, who was sidelined with an injury, missed the IPL last year. However, they will be without star batter Suryakumar Yadav for the opener against the Gujarat Titans (GT) as he is still awaiting fitness clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
