When talking about the Indian Premier League (IPL), one person who surely comes to mind is 'Thala', the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former Indian captain may have retired from international cricket, but when it comes to the IPL, the man is still going strong.

However, one question that gets repeated every year is whether IPL 2024 could be MS Dhoni's last year playing in the cash-rich tournament. Providing answers to this question, his childhood friend Paramjit has expressed confidence that 'Thala' will continue his career in the Indian Premier League beyond 2024.

In a recent interview with OneCricket, Paramjit, who played a pivotal role in Dhoni's rise to international cricket, stated, "I don't believe this will be his (Dhoni's) final season. He's still in top form. I anticipate he'll grace the field for at least one or two more seasons. He's definitely set for one more season. His fitness level speaks for itself."

In IPL 2023, the MS Dhoni-led side defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final in spectacular fashion. Dhoni, along with Rohit Sharma, stands as one of the only two captains to have won the IPL five times each. The 42-year-old boasts an impressive track record, having participated in 250 matches since the league's inception and amassing 5082 runs at an average exceeding 38, including 24 half-centuries.

Currently, Dhoni is in Jamnagar with his wife Sakshi to take part in the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, attended by a plethora of celebrities from India and beyond.

He will return to Chennai to rejoin the CSK camp ahead of IPL 2024, where his side will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chepauk on March 22.
