Everyone loves a last-ball thriller, and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Eden Gardens had it all. Heinrich Klaasen almost handed SRH a victory, but KKR pacer Harshit Rana had other plans as he secured a nail-biting victory for his side by 4 runs on the final delivery.

Amidst the rollercoaster of emotions experienced by fans at the stadium and those watching from home, one person who underwent a particularly intense journey was SRH owner Kavya Maran. She went from joy in the 19.1 over to despair by the 19.5 over, and fans made sure everyone knew about it.
During the 18th over, Mitchell Starc proved to be quite expensive (pun intended) as Klaasen hit him for sixes, narrowing the gap between runs needed and balls left. Kavya was seen being extremely happy as she jumped for joy to express what it meant to almost secure a win.
However, Harshit Rana's final over saw Shahbaz Ahmed (16 off 5 balls) first and then Heinrich Klaasen (63 off 29 balls) depart in the 19.5 over, sealing the win for KKR. Soon after, the camera captured the SRH owner looking visibly unhappy with the way things ended.
Clips and pictures of her expressions quickly circulated on social media, particularly on X (formerly known as Twitter), as fans expressed their amusement at the dramatic turn of events in the match chasing 208 runs.
This innings also featured an intense stare-off between SRH opening batter Mayank Agarwal and Harshit Rana which drew mixed reactions from both commentators and fans. Additionally, the umpire too went on to sustain an injury during the second innings, resulting in a temporary halt in the match.
