As franchises gear up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), this article focuses on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and their preparations, team, schedule, and more for the 2024 edition.

CSK from 2023 to 2024:

In 2023, the Chennai Super Kings were the champions. They finished second on the points table, winning 8 and losing 5 out of the 14 matches played.

The team, led by the indomitable MS Dhoni, has once again made headlines, with many speculating if this would be his last year playing in the cash-rich tournament.

CSK's IPL 2024 team composition:

The 42-year-old Dhoni, who has led the team to a record-equalling 5 titles, will be back once again as the skipper of the franchise in the 17th season of the tournament. The side will be eyeing to add another trophy to their collection before the CSK veteran hangs up his boots.

The team also needed a replacement for Ambati Rayudu, who retired ahead of the IPL 2024 season. The Chennai franchise acquired Rachin Ravindra for Rs 1.8 Crore and later acquired Shardul Thakur, Daryle Mitchell, Sameer Rizvi, and Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman.

March 22: Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai at 7:30 PM

March 26: Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans in Chennai at 7.30 PM

March 31: Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings in Visakhapatnam at 7.30 PM

April 5: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings in Hyderabad at 7.30 PM
