IPL 2023: Virat Kohli turns poet with RCB's Mr Nags, pens down 'sometimes it's 263, sometimes it's 49'

In the most recent Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Insider video, Virat Kohli appeared in a never-before-seen avatar - a poet. The former RCB captain, accompanied by comedian Danish Sait's Mr Nags avatar produced some motivational lines from words given to the King by the YouTuber.

When asked to write a few lines using a specific set of words, Kohli produced moving poetry that captured his experience over the previous five years. 

Sait gave Kohli four nouns to work with: Trip, Tide, Man, and 49, and instructed him to compose a few lines of poetry. Not just that, the cricketer also gave some words to the comedian as well and then asked for the cameras to be turned off while he penned down his thoughts.

Here is what the King wrote:

"Fulfil your desires, ignite the fire, 

Bat through the tough times, sometimes it's 263 & sometimes 49, 

Life can put you in a pickle, Laugh through like it's a tickle, 

Whether you get a hundred or a duck, life goes on, don't get stuck".

In the video, Kohli also said that he entered the 2023 edition in a good mind space and has also started to appreciate the beauty around him. 

And surely the results were for all to see as in their opening game against Mumbai Indians (MI), Kohli scored an unbeaten 82 at the Chinnaswamu Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, 2 April. His side will next face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 6.
