After a rollercoaster 2022, the Indian men's cricket team will strive to make a fresh start in 2023 and their first challenge will be against Sri Lanka. The series against Sri Lanka will feature three T20Is and the same number of ODIs.
India released the lineups for the two white-ball tournaments and all-rounder Hardik Pandya will captain the side in T20Is and will be Rohit Sharma's deputy in ODIs.
Talking about India and Sri Lanka, the two sides had last played Sri Lanka in a T20I series in February 2022, with India winning all three matches. Sri Lanka however, took their revenge by defeating Rohit Sharma's side in the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup T20 tournament in September.
