As the Tea Break commenced on Day 2 of the 1st Test between India and South Africa, the bowlers who made an impact included Mohammed Siraj, who dismissed Aiden Markram for 5, and Jasprit Bumrah, who claimed the wickets of Tony de Zorzi (28) and Keegan Petersen (2).
Dean Elgar's formidable ton and the Proteas nearing India's 245-run mark have surely added pressure to the Indian bowlers. Elgar, having scored an unbeaten 115*, has smashed 21 fours. Even his partner, debutant David Bedingham has gone on to score 32 runs with ease.

The struggles of the Men in Blue bowlers, especially Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna, have left netizens dissatisfied. Some fans even suggested that a bowler like Mukesh Kumar, known for his good swing, might have been a better choice.
Adding to the frustration is the lack of significant contributions from R Ashwin, as South Africa reached a score of 194 runs at the Tea Break.
With South Africa trailing by only 51 runs, the hosts hold the advantage. Although the pitch has flattened out compared to the previous day, India's bowling and at times their fielding have been subpar.
To regain some control, India needs to secure quick wickets and quiet the Proteas in their home territory at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
