On Day 1, a total of 20 wickets have fallen, and the day isn't even over yet! The 2nd Test at Newlands in Cape Town has unfolded with intense drama as both India and South Africa experienced complete batting collapses. After the Proteas were dismissed for 55 runs, the Men in Blue, who were 4 wickets down at the Tea Break, were eventually bowled out for 153, holding a lead of 98 runs. The last 11 balls witnessed a sequence of: W 0 W 0 W 0 0 W 0 W W.

India faced a dramatic collapse, and their lead is now less than 100 runs. Examining the batting order scores, after Virat Kohli's 46, Shreyas Iyer departed for a duck, followed by KL Rahul (8), Ravindra Jadeja (0), Jasprit Bumrah (0), Mohammed Siraj (0), and Prasidh Krishna (0).

Despite a poor start from opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (who departed for a duck), Rohit Sharma (39), and Shubman Gill (36), proved effective and put on a strong show. However, it was not enough as India was bundled out for 153 runs.

Netizens took to social media, including X (formerly known as Twitter), to discuss the second batting collapse of the day and speculate on the progression of the 2nd Test. Many even trended, "looking like a WOW" courtesy of India's lower-order batting display.

Earlier in the day, Mohammed Siraj showcased a magical bowling spell, exhibiting swing, seam, and accuracy, securing 6 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also contributed with two wickets each. Ahead of the 2nd Test against South Africa, Team India made two changes to their playing XI, reintroducing the experienced all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, into the Test lineup for the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC).
