Achieving the three-figure mark in just 55 balls, he took charge after the quick dismissals of Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma.

Undeterred by the fall of wickets, the captain maintained his aggressive stance, forming a formidable partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal on the way to reaching his hundred. While Yadav's century featured 7 boundaries and 8 towering sixes, the excitement was short-lived as he was dismissed on the very next delivery, concluding his innings at exactly 100 runs.
