Recently, middle-order batsman Rinku Singh has displayed consistent performances, continuing his momentum from the home series against Australia to South Africa. In the 2nd T20I at St George's Park in Gqeberha, he smashed a half-century, contributing to India's score of 180/7 in 19.3 overs before rain interrupted the game.

Rinku Singh and Suryakumar Yadav formed a solid partnership before Yadav departed for 56. Singh remained unbeaten with a score of 68*, featuring 9 fours and 2 sixes. With this, he clinched his maiden half-century.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to applaud Rinku Singh, many declaring him the next best finisher for Team India.

In the match, South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl, capitalizing on overhead conditions. While early wickets fell with openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill dismissed for ducks, Suryakumar Yadav's half-century anchored India's innings.

The T20I series between India and South Africa faced delays due to rain, disrupting the opener on Sunday.
