On Day 2 of the 1st Test between India and South Africa at SuperSport Park in Centurion, the partnership between Dean Elgar and Tony de Zorzi seemed unbreakable, leaving Indian bowlers pondering various strategies to secure wickets.

Amid this challenging situation, a peculiar yet amusing incident was captured by the cameras. Virat Kohli was seen approaching the stumps and playfully swapping the positions of the bails. Stuart Broad had introduced the bail-changing mode of dismissal to the world.

Shortly after this lighthearted gesture, Jasprit Bumrah managed to dismiss Tony de Zorzi for 28. The delivery, a tight short of length on the offside, prompted de Zorzi to defend, resulting in a thick outside edge that landed in the hands of Yashasvi Jaiswal at third slip.

Bumrah came in again and claimed the wicket of the new batter, Keegan Petersen, for just 2 runs. Petersen attempted to punch a back-of-a-length delivery outside off, but a thick inside edge disturbed the stumps.

Fans quickly turned to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to discuss Kohli's seemingly magical act of swapping the bails.

Regarding the ongoing clash, Dean Elgar is displaying resilience with an impressive score of 76 runs, as of the time of writing this article. The Proteas have accumulated 119 runs while losing three wickets. Elgar is currently partnered with David Bedingham at the crease.

In the early stages of the innings, Mohammed Siraj made a breakthrough by dismissing Aiden Markram for just 5 runs, securing the first wicket for India.
