Former English footballer David Beckham was spotted engaging with players from India and New Zealand ahead of the highly anticipated 1st semi-final clash in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. Fans eagerly awaited to witness if the football star would have a conversation with India's Virat Kohli. 

Their anticipation turned into reality as the ICC shared pictures on their social media platforms, revealing moments of interaction between the two legends on the sidelines before the commencement of the game at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Accompanying the photos with the caption "Brimming with greatness," ICC shared a picture of Beckham with Kohli, another with Sachin Tendulkar, and one with UNICEF kids. 

Additionally, fans also shared images of Kohli engaging in a conversation with both Beckham and Tendulkar, before the national anthems.

The comments section overflowed with fans declaring the players as "GOATs" (Greatest of All Time), describing it as an 'unlikely crossover at Wankhede.'

David Beckham in India:

Beckham's attendance at the match coincides with his three-day visit to India as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. The former Manchester United midfielder fully embraced the cricket fervour on the streets of India prior to the game.

While on his UNICEF visit in Gujarat, Beckham was seen engaging in a game of cricket, and an image capturing the moment has become viral on social media. Standing in a near-perfect batting stance and surrounded by exuberant children, Beckham charmingly faced a tennis ball. The Inter Miami president and co-owner are undertaking a three-day tour in India to champion child rights and gender equality.
